General info

Payback within 6-24 months after implementation

Our Infrafone cleaners (low-frequency acoustic cleaning) improves the profitability of boilers. This has been achieved thru more efficient soot cleaning in e.g. economizers, air-preheaters and catalysts (SCR’s), with a general payback time of about 6 to 24 months. Traditional soot cleaning technologies such as steam sootblowing, shot cleaning, sonic cleaning (high frequency), and manual cleaning are generally heavily reduced or eliminated in these applications.

Our range of products is the result of our unique knowledge and our customer focus. We calculate the optimal size and design of the acoustic cleaner for each customer’s particular need and the spatial possibilities of each installation.

Infrasound cleaning case studies

Versowood, Vierumäki Finland

Previously the boiler at versowood was stopped for manual cleaning every second month or six times per year due to that tube inlets were clogged by soot particles, leading to overstraining of the fan and increase of the flue gas outlet temperature from 150°C to 180°C.

Övik Energi, Bjästa Sweden

A case study and results from our infrasound cleaning installation on a biomass boiler at Övik Energi. From 2008-2013 the 3 MW boiler at Övik Energi was operated using 100 % pine oil pitch (tallbeckolja in Swedish). No automatic soot cleaning method was used and the boiler had to opened for manual cleaning of the smoke tubes once a month.

TPK-EPO, Sevnica Slovenia

A case study and results from our infrasound cleaning installation on a biomass boiler at TPK EPO. Before the installation of the Infrasound generators at TPK-EPO, the multi cyclone and the fintubed economizer were cleaned every 6-8 weeks due to increasing flue gas dP. The economizer is also cleaned with steam soot blowers. After the installation the eco and multi cylone are cleaned once per year.
