General info

Payback within 6-24 months after implementation

Our Infrafone cleaners (low-frequency acoustic cleaning) improves the profitability of boilers. This has been achieved thru more efficient soot cleaning in e.g. economizers, air-preheaters and catalysts (SCR’s), with a general payback time of about 6 to 24 months. Traditional soot cleaning technologies such as steam sootblowing, shot cleaning, sonic cleaning (high frequency), and manual cleaning are generally heavily reduced or eliminated in these applications.

Our range of products is the result of our unique knowledge and our customer focus. We calculate the optimal size and design of the acoustic cleaner for each customer’s particular need and the spatial possibilities of each installation.

Skogsbacka Kraftvärmeverk, Lycksele Sweden

Skogsbacka Kraftvärmeverk was using steam soot blowing in the economizer once every 24 hours prior to the installation of the infrasound generator. The performance of the existing soot blowers was not satisfying and the cost for maintenance of the soot blowing system was considered too high

Perstorp Fjärrvärme P6, Perstorp Sweden

At Perstorp Fjärrvärme, Steam soot blowing was previously used six times per day in the economizer and there were also two unplanned stops per year for manual cleaning. The unplanned stops are costly and are preceded by an increased differential pressure which increases the flue gas velocity, leading to increased erosion and uneven flue gas distribution.

Stadtwerke Gießen, Gießen Germany

A case study and results from our infrasound cleaning installation on a WtE boiler at Stadtwerke Gießen. After 3 months the need for steam soot blowing was 8 times per 24 h and after 6 months 18 times per 24 h. The steam for the soot blowers is bought from the neighbouring plant operating a gas fired boiler so a reduction of the need for steam soot blowing was of great interest.
