Last week we interviewed Anderson Diaz. This week we are happy to present another one of our newest members of the Heat Management family.

Q: What does it mean to be an Automation Engineer for Heat Management?

A:  My role as an automation engineer at Heat Management is to program, commission, test and adjust the HISS control system, including the control interface that is implemented in the customer’s distributed control system. Creating a reliable product easy to control with a simple but efficient interface.

 

Q: What do you enjoy most about your work? What motivates you?

A: At first, what captivated me the most were the possibilities of learning and working with different control systems in a company that is aligned with my environmental awareness, but after a month of working here, I also enjoy the dynamic, professional and very friendly atmosphere. The team works together in an agile and efficient way, focused on quality and customer service.

 

Q: How come you applied for a position here at Heat Management?

A: I was lucky that Heat Management found me at a time when I was in a process of change, looking for new challenges and opportunities for my next career move. From the beginning, the company caught my attention both for its impact on the environment and for its specialized products. The company has great potential and there is still a lot to be done and this is very interesting for me, so it was not difficult to make the decision.

 

Q: How does Heat Management drive innovation within this industry?

A: The solution developed by Heat Management for boilers that are the heart of many different industries is quite novel and very well thought out. Taking advantage of the existing steam sootblowing system, it is updated and improved to obtain the greatest efficiency by saving time and resources, this technology is positioning the company at the forefront of innovation in the industry worldwide.

 

Q: There’s a lot of focus on the environmental impact of today’s companies. Can you describe how Heat Management is handling these types of challenges and what the future brings for the technology you’re using? How do you apply sustainable thinking in your role?

A: Since the product is practically a new solution compared to boiler technologies that have been developed for years, the team is at all times attentive and alert about different technologies or techniques that can help improve boiler performance, always with an ecological mindset. Sustainable thinking in my role as an Automation Engineer is the basis of each implementation, as a new opportunity to make a more efficient system.

 

Q: You’ve been here for a few weeks now and been introduced to the core of the company. What do you think so far?

A: I am glad to be part of the team, it is a group of professionals always willing to help at any time, the atmosphere in the office is quite pleasant and supportive. During this month I have known the products, as well as their implementation and software tools. I am sure that working here will be very exciting and an experience that will result in growth both professionally and personally.

 

Q: What’s next? Any upcoming projects you’re excited about?

A: I’m new here, so any upcoming project is exciting and an opportunity to dig into the details, learn from my more experienced colleagues, and gain experience with the system, customer site dynamics, and implementation.
