A new year brings new beginnings. Let us kick it off with an introduction to our newest addition to the Heat Management team: Yonis Abdullah, our new Service Engineer.

In this Q&A, we ask Yonis about his new position at Heat Management.

Q: What does it mean to be a Service Engineer for Heat Management?
As a service engineer, I am responsible for the maintenance and commissioning of products that have been sold. It requires you to be on-site to maintain the efficiency and function of our products, as well as other after-sales technical support. It is a role that requires problem-solving skills that enables you to provide the best solutions for the customer. With a lot of communication, you try to understand the customers operating goals and what’s important for them.

Q: What do you enjoy most about your work? What motivates you?
What I enjoy most is seeing how our solutions help our customer’s results and the effects it has on their business.

Q: How come you applied for a position here at Heat Management?
For me, the solutions they provide are interesting and unique and I felt that I wanted to be a part of the big journey towards more sustainable energy. I was also looking for a role that provided me with both the practical aspect and the theoretical and I found that at Heat Management.

Q: How does Heat Management drive innovation within this industry?
With unique industry-leading technology Heat Management offer solutions to combustion plants to enable them to produce more energy and reduce their environmental impact.

Q: There’s a lot of focus on the environmental impact of today’s companies, can you describe how Heat Management is handling these types of challenges and what the future brings for the technology you’re using?
– How do you apply sustainable thinking in your role?
With the demand increasing for more environmentally friendly solutions, Heat management products and innovative technologies will only make the transition to a more sustainable world a lot smoother. When a company’s values are so engrained with sustainable thinking it makes you see things differently.

Q: You’ve been here for a few weeks now and you’ve been introduced to the core of the company. What do you think so far?
I think it is a great place to work with amazing colleagues and I have learned a lot. I also look forward to learning more and growing in my role both professionally and personally because in this industry there is endless knowledge out there.
