Situation description
A CFB boiler firing coal (63%), wood chips (33%), and waste (4%) was tested with and without infrasound cleaning. With infrasound and 50% reduced sootblowing (2025-05-24–06-10), performance was compared to full sootblowing without infrasound (2025-06-18–07-05).
The results showed improved heat transfer in the air preheater (+10.8%) and economizer (+6.3%), while the superheater remained nearly unchanged (–0.4%). Overall power output increased from 11.5 MW to 12.1 MW, a 5% gain, even under more challenging fuel conditions.
