Operation analysis to optimize boiler operation and operation of sootblowing systems
General info
Operation analysis consists of
We use operation analysis to optimize boiler operation and operation of sootblowing systems. Operational parameters are studied on a year scale as well on a minute scale. The correlation between operational parameters is investigated through regression analysis.
The detailed operational analysis provides our customers with:
– A survey of how well the soot blowing systems are working today
-Quantification of how changes in the soot blowing systems or boiler operation affect e.g. availability, efficiency, and emissions.
-What optimization of the soot blowing systems would consist of

Long term and short term
Operation analysis to optimize boiler operation and operation of sootblowing systems
We analyze both long, short and very short time scales to investigate.
– Whole season. How problems arise in the longer term, e.g. slow build up on tube bundles, which can force extra outages for cleaning
-During soot blowing sequence. What effect soot blowing has on differential pressure, heat exchange, and operating parameters such as load on flue gas fan, emissions etc.
-When switching between soot blowers. How to avoid any pressure hammers and associated problems.
We use our own software which is special developed to handle large amounts of data and easily overview many parameters. The software also contains powerful features to show the relationship between parameters, how they correlate with each other.
