THE IPCC 2021 presents clear evidence that our planet is in a catastrophic state of urgency to stop global warming. Human influence has affected the atmosphere, ocean, and land. Unless we reduce our emissions immediately and radically, global warming of 1,5-2\u00b0C will be reached, and weather extremes across the globe will be more and more common.(1)<\/sup><\/b> COP26 has called upon accelerating the transition to low-emission energy systems to reach global sustainability goals<\/a>.<\/b><\/p>\n

Why do we, in the energy sector, need to take responsibility? 73,2% of the global greenhouse gas emissions come from the energy sector.(2)<\/sup><\/span>\u00a0Striving towards sustainable energy is not an easy task, it often takes large investments with a long return, if any. Apart from legislation, most sustainability investments require incentives that bring more value than only environmental benefits, often in the form of money savings.
