Sappi Gratkorn is producing high-quality multi-coated paper. The mill has a red liquor recovery boiler equipped with 13 steam sootblowers (Forest F352 and Clyde Bergemann PS-SL at 33-35 bar), operating 6 times per day, leading to large costs.

Hiss^® was installed on all 13 sootblowers with the objective to save 40% sootblowing steam and to eliminate disturbing pressure variations during sootblowing using HISS^® Steam Synchro.
