A couple of weeks ago we started off 2021 by introducing Adam Backman, our newly appointed Inside Sales Engineer. Now it’s time to introduce another new colleague: Ola Nordin.

Ola has been working with sales since the early 90’s, and has a deep knowledge of Heat and electricity biomass power plants. Besides a great salesman, he’s also a great communicator that likes to ride motorcycles in his spare time.

In this Q&A we ask Ola about his new position here at Heat Management

Welcome, Ola!

Q: You are our newest Sales Manager here at Heat Management, have you been assigned to any regions yet?

Ola: I will begin working in the Nordic countries and Russia. I enjoy working in Russia and I have many contacts there from my earlier career. It will be exciting to see how Heat Management can expand in the Russian market, since there are many opportunities there.

Q: We do sell a lot of products covering all aspects crucial for industrial boilers, do you find any of our products as your favorite?

Ola: Before I started I was most interested in the patented solution for steam sootblowing (HISS ™). I was surprised that it is possible to increase boiler efficiency and availability and save steam at the same time. It is astonishing how sustainable technology investments can save you money. Our infrasound cleaning technology takes another approach to keep the boiler clean, using infrasound waves. What I enjoy is that our flagship products can work in collaboration to keep the boiler clean and efficient.

Q: According to you: What’s the most important skill a salesman within our industry should possess?

Ola: To gather a deep understanding of the specific needs of each customer, where we are able to adjust and optimize our solutions to fit the requirements of each customer.

Q: How come you applied for a position here at Heat Management?

Ola: I have worked in the energy industry for many years, and have on several occasions met customers with installed Heat Management solutions in operation. They have always been happy with the results, which got me curious about the technology. I was excited about the opportunity to help customers with sustainable solutions that will help them save money and increase the availability of their industrial boilers.

Q: You’ve been here two weeks now and you’ve been introduced to the core of the company. What do you think so far?

Ola: Great atmosphere here with skilled and helpful colleagues, they introduced me to each part of the company right away, and I immediately felt like an important part of the team. Our company culture always encourages knowledge sharing and feedback to help each other improve, to give our customers the best experience.

Q: What’s next? Any upcoming projects you’re excited about?

Ola: I am excited to start connecting with people, to share knowledge about our sustainable technology, both to new customers and old friends.
