This bright new star shines bright in the office!
Andreas Aspell worked with Heat Management as a Service Engineer, servicing our customers Infrasound cleaners. He left to pursue his studies and after concluding them, he began working in sales. We thought it was high-time to sit down and have an interview with Andreas to ask him about his new role.
We consider ourselves lucky to have him returning to us. As the brand new Sales Manager for Canada and the USA.
Welcome back Andreas!
Q: What does it mean to be a Sales Manager for Heat Management?
A: I see my role as being the Commercial Project manager. I pursue deals where implementing our technologies makes economic and environmental sense. With the customers, I gather the relevant process information that condensates to a business case with the help of our excellent organisation!
Q: What do you enjoy most about your work? What motivates you?
A: The variety of customer processes I get to explore! Each new case, even though seemingly the same as the previous, gives an opportunity to learn and better understand not only boilers but also adjacent processes.
Q: How come you applied for a position here at Heat Management?
A: I’m a relapsing boiler nerd who worked in a different industry for the last two years, so when the chance to rejoin with the responsibility for an exciting market, the choice was easy.
Q: How does Heat Management drive innovation within this industry?
A: By only focusing on our tech to prevent boiler fouling, we have gotten good at the same; collecting decades of industry experience from evaluating our installations, we have gained a unique knowledge base.
Q: There’s a lot of focus on the environmental impact of today’s companies. Can you describe how Heat Management is handling these types of challenges and what the future brings for the technology you’re using? How do you apply sustainable thinking in your role?
A: Our technologies can improve the net energy yield per unit of fuel by several per cent. In an energy mix where fossil fuels exist, the increased production gained translates directly to a reduced need to burn fossil fuels, and the increased baseload allows for more volatile electricity production.
Our technologies address the thermal efficiency of boilers while minimizing the pain of soot cleaning. Together with the combustion, this is the most fundamental aspect of good boiler operation.
Q: You’ve been here for a few weeks now and been introduced to the core of the company. What do you think so far?
A: I knew what I got myself into, and that is working with a great team that goes above and beyond in each project, colleagues who share my interests and curiosity and working with technology that brings an immediate and actual increase in renewable energy.
Q: What’s next? Any upcoming projects that you’re excited about?
A: Establishing our presence in North America!
